A handwriting personality test that files the shapes you write
Free, no upload, about two minutes. The Handwriting Personality Test asks which shape is closest to yours. Eight answers are enough. The name it returns is a filing label for those shapes, not a diagnosis.
On October 20, 2026 I opened the English page in desktop Chrome and took the first shape each time: open 4, plain 7, single-storey a, open-tail g, plain 0, plain-stroke 1, t with no bar, i with a close dot. I skipped y, the ampersand, word spacing, and slant. See result opened this link. The label was Everyday Minimalist: "You stop the stroke once the letter is readable." Under that, the page said the name is a label for the shapes in the link, not a reading of personality, health, honesty, or ability.
The share card on that page drew a 7, a 9, and a 0. Copy link, Download card, and Compare with another sit under the card. I did not download the card.
What the eight answers counted
The result shows four tallies. This session was Structure 2, Endings 10, Page rhythm 5, Flourish 5. One direction names the result when it leads by two points. Flourish and page rhythm as the two leaders would have been Daydream Doodler. Any other close finish is Instinctive Mixer. Endings led by five, so the name was Everyday Minimalist. The arithmetic is on the scoring page.
| Question | I picked | Left on the table |
|---|---|---|
| Which 4 | Open 4 | Closed 4 |
| Which 7 | Plain 7 | Crossed 7 |
| Which a | Single storey | Double storey |
| Which g | Open tail | Looped tail |
| Which 0 | Plain 0 | Slashed 0 |
| Which 1 | Plain stroke | With a foot |
| Bar on t | No bar | Through the middle, or near the top |
| Dot on i | Close dot | High dot, or a circle |
Twelve questions are on the page. y, the ampersand, spacing, and slant were still there after eight answers, and See result was already on. Keys 1, 2, and 3 pick a shape. Skip leaves that question out of the link.
The six names are Quiet Architect, Everyday Minimalist, Margin Storyteller, Beautiful Rebel, Daydream Doodler, and Instinctive Mixer. Each one collects a way of drawing. Read the label before you share it.
What a stroke cannot prove
The test and its science page draw the same line: you can see a stroke, and you cannot see a person in it. A closed 4 is a closed 4. It is not honesty, health, intelligence, or a reason to hire someone. The longer check, with the 1989 hiring meta-analysis, is what your handwriting does and does not say.
This site's handwriting personality quiz is the two-minute picture quiz. It does not ask how you write a 4. Use it when you want a quick label and a practice tip. Use the shape test when you want the glyph you actually make.
The drill that came back with the label
The Everyday Minimalist page gave one drill: add one crossbar to five plain 7s. If the bar makes them clearer, keep it. If it only decorates, leave it off. The shape notes for that 7 are on crossed 7 handwriting.
Print the 7s here. Open the handwriting worksheet generator, leave the font on Patrick Hand, and type a single 7. The first row prints solid. Every row after it prints dotted. Trace five of those and add one crossbar by hand on each. The sheet prints the font's 7. It does not decide the bar. That decision is the drill.
A child who is still learning the numeral belongs on number tracing, which prints 1–10 or 1–20 on three-line paper. That page is a tracing ladder, not this label.
What I did not test
I stayed on English and did not switch to the other nine languages. I did not press Download card, so I am not describing the image file. The result lives in the link. Changing a shape on the result page updates that link. The test saved on the home page stays as it was. Nothing I clicked was uploaded.
